Research search was carried out in 2011, ASU pomology garden. Exploring different ages and pear orchard of apple trees, Young orchard trees aged 15 years, old - 30 years. Fruit trees grown under the Lithuanian Institute of Horticulture is recomendedforcultivation technologies. Tests were used for different ages and pear orchard of apple branches, selectedrandomly from ten trees of a branch with . length of about 1 meter. Branches were cut in February and analyzed in the laboratory. Using a microscope, on the branches were calculated Oystershell Scale shield. The measured branch diameter, length and estimated cortical surface a-sa. Cortical surface area calculated using the following formula: cortical surface Jtdh = (it - 3,14; d - diameter of teigs; h- length of the branches). Scale insects by counting the amount of stock panels and all branches of bark surface area, according to the received data, calculated as Oystershell Scale panels have a single square meter of bark surface area. The obtained data derived mean andstandard deviation calculated. The analysis of the data suggests that a more widespread Oystershell Scale insect onapple trees. Particular scale spread on an old apple orchard pruning (3989 pes. in2).The different age pear orchard pruning (3989 pes. m) Oystershell Scale less widespreadcompared to the investigated apple orchard branches of different ages. At least on awidespread Oystershell Scale studied the old pear orchard pruning (52 pes. m~2).
