Propagation of noise through the lightweight acoustical barriers affects the reduction of sound intensity Lp, which strongly depends on travelling sound frequencies fi and the distance a from the sound source. Geometrical shape and dimensions of acoustical barrier are very important for the emission of sound. In this work it was tried to assess the influence of barrier’s dimensions for the equal loudness noise levels and for sound emission, when the height of barrier was H=(0,5…1,0)∙a, and lenght l=(4…10)∙a respectively (where a – distance from the noise source to the barrier). Best effect in noise reduction was reached when the lightweight barriers were built around the distance of R=2∙a from the object being protected. Moving away from the noise source Qai ranging from 5-7 dB range.
