Abstract: Oil seed rape harvesting losses are about 4-10 percents. One of the ways to reduce oil seed rape harvesting losses is to use chemical implement „Elastiq“. The effectiveness of “Elastiq” was tested with summer oil seed rape “Bios”. Sprinkled and not sprinkled with „Elastiq” rape pods were tested in laboratory with compression stand “INSTRON 5000” measuring influence of static force for pods opening. The influence of combine harvester reels position and linear velocity of reels pins ( of reels) to the seed losses was tested with special stand in the sprinkled with “Elasiq” and not sprinkled oil seed rape field. It was established, that “Elasiq” have no substantial influence to the harvesting losses
