Abstract: Scientific experiments were carried out in 2011, Kaišiadorys district. The field experiment was arranged according to the following tillage scheme: deep ploughing and shallow tine cultivation (7 cm); disc cultivation (10 cm) and shallow tine cultivation (7 cm). Sowing was performed in 3 speeds: 6, 10 and 14 km h-1 with disc, tine and suffolk coulters. Increasing the sowing of winter rye speed from 6 to 14 km h-1, plowed soil, sowing depth decreases, the minimum tilled soil - remains stable or slightly increased
