Abstract: Straipsnyje nagrinėjama jaunimo verslumo ugdymo problema. Sukurtas teisinis - politinis pagrindas jaunimo verslumo ugdymui ir skatinimui, parengtos programos, kurios numato konkrečius veiksmus strateginių dokumentų įgyvendinimui. Empirinis tyrimas atskleidė, nors mokytojai supranta verslumo ugdymo svarbą, taiko aktyvius metodus ir yra linkę tobulinti savo šios srities kvalifikaciją, tačiau pastebimas neatitikimas tarp retorikos ir praktinio verslumo ugdymo įgyvendinimo
The article examines the problem of youth entrepreneurs hip education. The juridical - political basis has been created for the education and promotion of entrepreneurs hip amongst the youth, the programs foreseeing concrete actions for the implementation of strategic documents have been prepared. Research showed that teachers in general education as well as in vocational training regard entrepreneurship as a general competence which is associated with personal peculiarities, managerial and social skills and is necessary in life. Furthermore, it can assist young people in choosing their occupation. Teachers believe that entrepreneurship is most encouraged by methods that involve imitation of reality (simulative enterprises and computer games) and social interactions (fairs, meetings with business agents). Majority of the respondents acknowledge the shortcomings in their preparation and, therefore, they are inclined to raise their qualification in entrepreneurship education. The results of the survey show a discrepancy between the teachers' assertions and the practical realization of entrepreneurship education. Thus, we think, the teachers 'preparation to teach entrepreneurship subjects should be studied more thoroughly
