Abstract: This paper was conducted to forward a plan related to utilization of the first generation biofuels in cogeneration output cycle in Lithuania and to serve as a reference for other researchers working in the field of combined energy production. The first part of the report focuses on existing pecularities of the diesel engine performance and evaluation of obtained results. The second part focuses on economical criterions specific to the Republic of Lithuania and their implemetation following the up-to-date practice in other countries
