In this paper value orientation is a psyhic formation, which emerged by the way of personal self realization and which became the motive of internal behaviour in achieving one's goals. The formation of a person's value orientations happens during social processes. Various factors influence the composition and changes of values, which have not been thoroughly explored by scientists. This article analyses the results of the research on the value orientations of the pupils, of Kaunas district Domeikava secondary school. The composition of value orientations was made using the method of factorial analysis. According to the achieved results, three important scales of value orientations were composed and named according to the dominant features in these factors 1) prosocial; 2) spiritual and 3) active life. Pupils, irrespective of their gender, give equally high evaluation to such values as health, respect to parents, success in achieving one's goals, having a goal, true friendship. The opinions of boys and girls' match about 8 in 10 less appreciated values loneliness (place 60), modesty (place 59), spiritual life, religiosity, moderation, acceptance of one's fate, keeping of discipline, respect to traditions. This research shows that there are differences according to gender, in all the scales of value orientations of spiritual, prosocial and active life. The changing of averages of prosocial and spiritual scales depends on the age of the boys it increases in senior grades; the averages of the scales of the active life in separate forms practically do not change. The girls are more oriented towards the values of spiritual scale. The averages of prosocial and active life scales, according to the girls evaluation are lowest in 10-12 grades. Among boys and girls, who are more oriented to words prosocial and spiritual values, there is a characteristic behaviour towards good health.
