Abstract (en)
The article analyzes the relationship between man and nature in Lithuania. This particular relationship and worldview is based on the maintained traditional agrarian way of life and late acceptance of Christianity. Globalization leads to substantial changes in rural areas destroying locality and sedentary life, domestication and traditions. The present and future of Lithuanian countryside is determined by the EU agricultural and rural policy which is controversial in terms of ethno-cultural traditions survival.
