Abstract: Experiment was carried out at the Lithuanian university of agronomy in the Department of Horticulture in 2010. Asparagus shoots yield depended on a variety of features. Mostlys productive varieties was standard 'Schwetzinger Meisterschub' and 'Rambo', also men varieties - 'Ravel' and 'Ranger'. Most of the dry weight in asparagus shoots was at the standard variety 'D'Argenteuil Primaticcio' and male variety 'Ramada'. Mostly ascorbic acid was at the standard 'Schwetzinger Meisterschub' and 'Rambo' varieties shoots. Mostly potassium was in the shoots of the standard varieties ■D'Argenteuil Primaticcio' and 'Rambo'. Mostly nitrate accumulated the standard variety 'Schneekopf plant shoots
