Abstract: This paper analyses the fuel injection characteristics of diesel-bioethanol fuel blends. Attention is focused on the injection characteristics which influence the engine :haracteristics and the exhaust emissions: injection pressure, injection duration and injection timing. The tested fuels were mineral diesel fuel and diesel-ethanol blends up to 15% ethanol with an increment of 5%. Experiments showed that for all operating regimens :ested, the addition of ethanol to mineral diesel fuel reduces maximum injection pressure and leads to retard injection timing
