Abstract: This paper presents the test results of analysis of D-243 bench diesel engine running on commercial diesel fuel and pure rapeseed oil. Running the engine using botr types of fuel in succession, engine load characteristics were registered at the followizz fixed crankshaft speeds: n - 1400, 1600, 1800, 2000 and 2200 min"1. The test results shoa that the commercial diesel fuel replacement with pure rapeseed oil reduces the NO, emissions, smoke, the CO emission increases. It also shows that at higher crankshaft speedi CH emissions are lower but when the crankshaft speeds reduces CH emissions increase
