Abstract: This paper presents types and levels of exhaust gas emissions, when a biogas is used a fuel for a spark ignition engine. It is known, that combustion of biogas in cogeneration irs is releasing the large quantities of hazardous materials into the environment. As can be I from the results of the study, the largest quantities of hazardous materials are carbon L-oxide (577 to 740 ppm), nitric oxide (1030 to 1503 pprn.) and nitrogen oxide (1072 to I ppm). These concentrations in the exhaust gases depend on engine load, which in this ■dy was changed from 40 to 80 % (from 60 to 120 kW)
