Abstract: A sectional view, displays the outline of the cutting plane and all visible outlines which can be seen beyond the cutting plane. Students often make mistakes when nol displaying some outlines seen beyond culling plane. Sometimes they can find incorrect examples on the internet. According to the Dual Coding Theory we must use words and pictures rather than words alone when explaining rules of the sectional view creation. Examples of correct and incorrect drawn sectional views for students must be shown and discussed
