The article presents alternation of the attitude towards teaching of physical culture in the university during the time period often years. 1427 girls and 1148 boys who entered the university in 1996 and 1997 as well as in 2006 and 2007 were polled for the research. It was determined that majority of youngsters have a positive attitude towards teaching of physical culture in the university. However the number of boys and especially girls who have not developed a need for regular exercising has been constantly growing. On the very First days of studies students wish for more rights of choices when choosing the form, content, means and even a lecturer of physical culture exercises. Majority of freshmen students find obligatory physical culture exercises acceptable however they would like to have arbitrary physical culture modules during the following university years.
