Abstract (en)
The paper presents an investigation of cutting process simulation using Ansys/LsDyna Finite Element (FE) code. To compose a fully coupled mechanical model, it was executed orthogonal cutting test in order to evaluate material behavior 2D model in the base of Merchant cutting process theory. Dynamical constants of material behavior were evaluated after establishing dynamical stress expression from normal and mean stresses. The mention stresses affect the workpiece and were found from experimental results. Orthogonal cutting and milling simulations were executed.
