Abstract: It has been investigated the wool of marinos sheepskins. Photodegradation in the different parts of hair has been evaluated by the methods of determination of content on cisteine, solubility in sodiumhydroxyde solution and pH measurements of extracts. The influence of natural and artificial insolationon the initial stage of photodegradation is of thesame level and ocurs in the surface layer of hairs
