This paper presents a proposed rural development knowledge management and sharing framework, which consists of databases and a knowledge pool, with mechanisms for their management and communication, including a real-time common user interface. It is suggested that the integration of sustainable rural development strategies into the knowledge management system will help rural producers, businesses, public organizations and villagers to adapt to the changing environment and more quickly implement the aims of sustainable development.
