Abstract: Recycling of plastics is cost expensive, and the essential part of plastic wastes is incinerated or dumped, thus deteriorating the environment. The problem from biodegradable materials, such as peat-, silt- or cellulose-based composites. The mechanical properties of starch, sludge, polyvinyl alcohol based composites for fabricating planting containers are studied using computerized microtensile system with laser speckle pattern interferometer
