Abstract (en)
Recycling of plastics is cost expensive, and the essential part of plastic wastes is incinerated or dumped, thus deteriorating the environment. The problem from biodegradable materials, such as peat-, silt- or cellulose-based composites. The mechanical properties of starch, sludge, polyvinyl alcohol based composites for fabricating planting containers are studied using computerized microtensile system with laser speckle pattern interferometer.
