The idea of cooperation between the Nordic and Baltic mathematicians working in national agriculture universities arose in 1997 -1998 independently of each other. The purpose of this cooperation was the necessity to understand what kind of mathematics and what amount of it agriculture specialists need. The other reason of this collaboration was to improve the teaching quality by means of exchanging teachers' experience in teaching and modelling. During the ten year period agrometrics society arranged six's conferences. In Lithuania (1998), Estonia (1999), Latvia (2001), Sweden (2003), Estonia (2005), Lithuania (2OO8).In a way this cooperation can be treated as a composite part of Bolognia process in order to achieve common standards in higher agriculture education.
