Abstract: Oil pumpkin cultivars (Cucurbitapepo) 'Miranda', 'Herakles' and 'Golosemianaja' were grown using fertilizers in experimental station of Lithuanian University of Agriculture in 2006. The aim of this work was to estimate the influence of organic and mineral fertilizers on the oil pumpkin seeds chemical content. Pumpkins were fertilizedby various methods: 1-control(withoutfertilizers),2-humatic30L/ha,3-complexfertilizers 500 kg/ha, 4-compost 40 t/ha, 5- mixture of fertilizers complex + humatic 500 kg/ha + 30 L/ha. Standard methods were applied for the analysis of chemical composition of oil pumpkin seeds (in%), i.e.: dry matter, crude oil, crude protein, crude fiber, and crude ash. Data were analysed statistically using program Excel and SigmaStat 2.0. In comparing the cultivars a higher amount of dry matter, crude protein and crude oil was found in 'Herakles' cv. seeds (97.16%, 36.43%, 49.37%, respectively), whereas the amount of crude ash and crude fiber in the seeds of 'Golosemiarmaja' variety pumpkins accounted for 5.2% and 20.66%, respectively. Under the effect of fertilizer the highest content of crude fibber was found in the variant without any fertilizers, that of dry matter - in the variant with humatic acids, that of crude protein and crude ash - in fertilisers' complex, and that of crude oil - in fertilizers mixture
