Abstract: In urban areas traffic noise is one of the greatest public annoyances and is generated unstable traffic. In this paper there is presented measurements of urban noise at the arterial crossing in Kaunas. It is determined that dominating urban traffic noise is at the low frequencies range and LAeq levels almost continuously decrease till the end of the green traffic signal cycle
