Stereotypes exist in various forms (Grossman, Lugovskyy, 2011) from roles of woman and man to work environment being formed by the media and social environment, that women are more fit for house work (Peters, Holmgreen, Oswald, 2015) and are associated with being more caring, empathetic, warmer than men and usually reach the phenomenon called glass ceiling, that affects their work and adaptation in the work place (Heilman, 2001). Considering the relevance of the topic and the novelty a research problem was defined – woman stereotype existence in vehicle repair field. Research aim – was defined to be able to evaluate if the stereotype exists in the company UAB “Daivanta”. The object of research - UAB “Daivanta” employee opinion on woman in vehicle repair field. The tasks were set for research: 2) Analyze UAB “Daivanta” job descriptions in the context of woman stereotypes; 3) To reveal UAB “Daivanta” employee opinion on woman in vehicle repair field. The methods used: analysis of scientific literature and documents, qualitative research (semi-structured interview), content analysis. According to the qualitative research of woman stereotype in the vehicle repair field does exist, but the stereotype rises from the outside of the company and not from the inside. The stereotype is created from the history and experience, but informants stated that stereotyping in this area of services will not be so prominent in the future, because the signs of change are already visible now. During the research, it was noted that formation of positive and negative gender stereotyping was present. Thus, providing further insights on further type of research.
