The aim of this paper is to suggest a method to evaluate determinants of EU developed and developing countries consumer confidence and to verify it. The first part of the paper deals with the theoretical analysis of determinants of consumer confidence research field. Secondly, the method of determinants of EU developed and developing countries consumer confidence research is presented. To set the main determinants of consumer confidence there is used a time series ADL model. Finally, the results are presented and analysed. Empirical findings of this study showed, that consumer confidence of EU developed countries is driven mostly by fundamental macroeconomic factors, economic policy uncertainty and financial crisis in 2008, while consumer confidence of EU developing countries is driven mostly by fundamental macroeconomic factors.
