Due to realization of children‘s right to qualitative learning and education together with different social risk groups of children to accessibility of education in 1991 in Lithuania started establishing alternative schools-Youth schools. These schools are alternative to traditional schools. Their purpose is to predict the goal and objective of alternative educational systems, to estimate provided goals. The concept of Youth school (2005) states: alternative education meets general educational goal, has its own content, form, approaches and responds student’s abilities and learning experience. After examination of performed studies by Lithuanian scientists about Youth school effectiveness and Child’s right importance, can be stated, that there is a lack on studies which answer the question how Youth school as alternative seeking institution can be effective by caring out mission to encourage children’s need for education from social risk group, ensures child’s right to qualitative continuing studies and gets basic education. Therefore the study had problematic issues: what are the features of Youth school as effective school which promotes children’s motivation to study and ensure child’s right to continuing learning. There were interviewed 500 Youth school student of 6-10 grade, 100 teachers of youth schools, 300 parents (guardians) of youth school students. The study confirmed the hypothesis that orientation towards social risk group children of Youth school allows their right to continuing studies obtaining qualitative education and preparation for professional activities.
