Straipsnyje pristatomi atlikti tyrimo, kuriuo siekiama įvertinti kryptingo meninio ugdymo patrauklumą mokiniams, rezultatai. Mokiniai žino, kad kryptingas meninis ugdymas yra naudingas, tačiau negali konkrečios naudos įvardinti, bet pripažįsta, kad jis padės ateityje ir tai skatina saviraišką. Kryptingos meninio ugdymo programa nepateisina visų mokinių lūkesčių, dėl atrankos į programą nebuvimo, siauros ir nepakankamos užklasinės veiklos, drausmės problemų, mokytojų kvalifikacijos stokos, negebėjimo rinktis dalykus, kuriuos norėtų mokytis.
Artistic education is getting more and more attention in Lithuania. It is very visible because the artistic education is distinguished from general programs, education plans and education standarts. Education by painting is considered very important by G. Surdokiene, (2006), A. Janonyte - Muliene, (2010), D. Matijikiene, (2002), Education by music topic reflects in the works of R. Sankauskiene, (2009), E. Balcytis, (2005), Z. Rinkevicius, (2009), St. Jareckaite, S. Rimkute - Jankuvienė, (2010), R. Girdzijauskienė,(2005). Dance is being researched by B. Banevičiūtė (2009). Education by theatre is researched by V. Kazragyteir kt. (2009), R. Ercmoniene, (2001), R. Melnikov, (2007). There are more and more choices of artistic subjects in schools, purposeful artistic education programs are introduced to deepen the knowledge in the art sphere. Teachers, who work with this education program say that's it's a necessary measure in the education process but research on the students' point of view have not been made. This encouraged to do a research to evaluate the appeal of purposeful artistic education for students. The object of the research - the appeal of purposeful artistic education. The goal is accomplished by using scientific literature analysis, document analysis, interview methods. Seven seventh grade students took part in the interview. They have been learning in a purposeful artistic education program for two years. The interview took approximately 20-25 minutes. It took part in february - april,2013. There's no selection to the purposeful artistic education program, purposeful education isn't moved (or at least isn't appended by moving) to other spaces - concert halls, museums, theatres, exhibitions, etc., where the students could broaden their outlook and knowledge on art.[...]
