Abstract (en)
This study discusses the relationship between parents' sense of coherence and how parents foster their disabled children's autonomy.[...] Parents' discourse of child's autonomy is based on the "ideal child", or "abstract child" while they "make a project" of autonomy for a disabled child. Parents' types according to SOC scores indicate the way parents adjust to their child's disability. Furhermore, this imply for individual parents' pedagogical self-realization in fostering their child's autonomy.
