The genefund list of most valuable woody ornamental plants from 10 genera (Abies Mill., Chamaecyparis Spach., Juniperus L., Picea A. Dietr., Pinus L., Thuja L., Euonymus L.,Potentilla L., Rosa L., Syringa L.) was corrected. 142 taxa were left on this list and 88 pretenders were selected. Also, we have started to investigate new woody ornamental plants from 9 genera (Acer L., Calluna L., Betula L., Erica L., Fraxinus L., Helianthemum Mill., Lonicera L., uercus L., Rhododendron L.). Later we expected to put them on the genefund list of most valuable plants. After one year of investigation 197 taxa (from 470) were selected. We are going to research all these plants in future. After phytological and entomological evaluation of ornamental plants plants with fungal deseases (8 genera) and pests (2 genera( were determined. One new micromycete Microsphaera vaccinii was found on rhododendron. Agents of diseases were identified and the prevalence and intensity of siseases were evaluated.
