Abstract: Straipsnyje nagrinėjami žemiausiojo lygmens vadovų tinkamumo vertinimo gamybos įmonėse klausimai. Išskirta formali artimiausia žemiausiojo lygmens vadovų veiklos aplinka valdymo grandinėje: TV–ŽLV– PAV, kur TV – tiesioginis vadovas; ŽLV – žemiausiojo lygmens vadovas ir PAV – pavaldiniai. Tikslinga atlikti ŽLV tinkamumo vertinimą. Tam pasirinkta kiekybinė anketinė apklausa, kurioje dalyvavo 255 respondentai iš penkiolikos didelių Lietuvos baldų gamybos įmonių. Straipsnyje pristatoma atlikto tyrimo apie ŽLV tinkamumą konkrečioje valdymo grandinėje (TV–ŽLV–PAV) rezultatų analizė. Tyrimo rezultatai parodė, kad vertinimo kriterijų tinkamumo laipsnis valdymo grandinėje (TV–ŽLV–PAV) labai priklauso nuo to, kiek sutampa vertinimai tarp grandžių

Mid-level managers (MLM) must be able to recognize suitable first level managers (FLM) so that valuable FLM could be motivated to stay in company for long period and improve their professional competence over time. The most important link in this interaction system, that links mid-level manager with subordinates (workers) (SUB) are first level managers. FLM is the link that combines internal elements of the organization such as goals, objectives and selected technologies. FLM, together with subordinate workers, achieve manufacturing objectives, provide necessary information about company processes to the workers as well as informs direct leadership about the processes inside the organization. Manufacturing productivity, workers’ attitudes and employee turnover rate depends on FLM performance, behavior and leadership skills. Every FLM has its own personal attitude to the task, which he needs to complete. This attitude, which can be positive or negative, greatly affects performance. First level managers, who negatively affect MLM and workers’ attitude in management chain (MLM– FLM–SUB) are ineffective as leaders, their performance is inappropriate, and their actions decrease the overall performance of manufacturing company and increase employee turnover rate in the company. Therefore, it is necessary to have sustainable and efficient synergy between participants in the management chain (MLM–FLM–SUB), pointing toward manufacturing company management improvement. [...]
