Core competence as main executives' feature in global economy: Lithuanian case

Core competence as one of the most important management strategies for today's enterprises is known and defined as the area of business in which an organization has a competitive advantage not only in A producing goods or services but also in developing new and related products. Core competence strategy development requires both, educated executives and the programs of Executives' MBA, oriented to executive's core competence. As Lithuanian economy is small and open, international experiences are very important. The authors of the paper state that executive's core competence is a possibility to work and create activities and products for the growing quality needs in the global economy space in the changing environment. The main features forming the core competence are professionalism, adaptability and flexibility. In this case, the main requirements for the Executives' MBA programs are as follows: multicultural teaching staff, international student classes; studies based on the case of international and global enterprises' experiences and EMBA student and professor network.
