The sequence of globalization is that people around the globe are more connected to each other. Obviously, lawyers, law firms and consumers of legal services are more connected to each other too. Generally, the globalization is regarded as a phenomenon of outspread of western standards of life. And the globalization in the sphere of law firms, the significance of these international, universal and western standards is not an exception. The object of this discourse are the processes of globalization in the legal system of Lithuania that directly influence the professional activity of lawyers, formation, merger of law firms and processes of their activity from the point of view of certain essential factors. The issues of the globalization of law firms in Lithuania and the globalization of legal profession are related to the questions of legal specialization, international codes of ethics, protection of the consumers of legal services, education (education of young lawyers, lawyers qualification), advertising and fee.[...]
