Abstract: The author of the article discusses the possibility to institute drug testing in the workplace. In reaching the aforementioned goal the author first of all discusses problems in society related to abuse of alcohol and other drugs, than looks to USA policy and practise implementing drug testing in the workplace and related legal problems with the 4th amendment of US Constitution and Medical Information act. Lastly the author discusses the possibilities to implement such policy in Lithuania analysing related clauses of Lithuanian Labour code and other legal acts. The author makes hypothesis that Lithuanian legal acts are too vague for implementation of the discussed policy
