Stress in the parenting role arises when parents' perception of demands of this role exceeds the available resources for meeting these demands. Parenting stress more strongly affects parenting behavior and children's development than does stress in other domains of family life (Deater-Deckard, 2004). Adaptive parenting is balancing act between the child and the parent, however in child rearing practices parents may behave differently. There are both-directional parent stress effects on parenting behavior, and parenting behavior effects on distress in parenting role. When a parent uses inappropriate parenting behaviour, child's emotional, behavioral problems will increase and result distress in parenting, and when parenting stress increases, the quality of parenting will degenerateen
