Abstract: The role of teachers is interpreted in a new light of the educational process, as the social structure of the world is changing, the reform of Lithuanian educational system is being committed and the science of education is being developed. The development of social skills and education of personal and social competence become of equal importance for accumulation and extension of knowledge. New methods and pedagogic techniques are required for accomplishment of new functions of pedagogic activity
