Abstract (en)
In our study from 2011 through 2012 small mammals were analysed for their flea fauna. Small mammals were captured in the peninsula Kuršiu Nerija of Lithuania. One hundred and eighty four fleas were collected from 128 small mammals, including 64 Apodemus flavicollis, 3 Apodemus sylvaticus, 11 Myodes glareolus, 9 Microtus arvalis, 4 Microtus oeconomus, 30 Micromys minutes and 7 Sorex minutus. Five species of fleas were described: Hystrichopsylla t. talpae, Ctenophthalmus a. agyrtes, Megabothris turbidus, Megabothris walkeri and Palaeopsylla soricis, and parasitological terms by fleas were studied.
