The aim of the study is to assess the efficiency of sleep hygiene preventive session to improve sleep quality of students taking into account their demographic and psychological characteristics, biological activity and harmful habits. Measures and methods. Research of sleep hygiene influence was implemented in two stages. During the first stage it was estimated a sleep hygiene, harmful habits of subjects, gathered their sociodemographic and biological activity characteristics, also valued their psychological features (anxiety and locus of sleep control). Also during the first stage subjects were divided into three groups: intervention group (68 students who expressed willingness to participate in sleep hygiene session, and who joined it by random selection), first control group (68 students who expressed willingness to participate in sleep hygiene session, however not accepted into intervention group by random selection) and also second control group (51 student who didn’t express their willingness to join sleep hygiene session). In the second research stage, after 3 weeks of sleep hygiene session, it was repeatedly assessed sleep quality, biological activity characteristics, harmful habits and locus of sleep control of all the three groups.
