Abstract (en)
The results of the dendrochronological analysis of wooden constructions stratigraphically positioned one on top the other found during the archaeological investigations in the area east of St Casimir's Chapel in the Cathedral are presented in the article. The road that went in the north-southern direction ran through the investigated area for a long time. Four layers of wooden pavements were discovered under three levels of stone pavements. The lowest road pavement was laid on the remains of the wooden construction, which were made of joined massive wooden timbers whose cross-section was up to 45×35 cm. [...].
