The article discusses the issue of identity in R. Keturakis’ poetry book Atspind˛iai (Reflections), which is one of the most important in his creative work. Many literary critics speak about the motifs loneliness, religious or patriotic motifs in Keturakis’s poetry without pointing to the lyrical subject identity. In this respect, most interesting is his poetry book Atspind˛iai (Reflections), where we can find numerous instances of lyrical subject’s identity forms. Lyrical subject’s identity is obviously changing – it may be characterized by long-term personality changes and breaking the well-established forms. The lyrical subject is identified with light, goodness and spiritual values; life is perceived as a constantly ongoing spiritual journey toward a spiritual being. Along with it, the image of path, track and Milky Way becomes important in Keturakis’s poetry. In it, fire, heat methafors take a significant place and help to reconstruct the lyric subject dreams metaphysics, which unfolds from the creator of the concept of male identity. It is closely related to suffering, unreachable goal and relationship experiences, deteriorating the aura of masculinity, which eventually replaces the rebirth through death – the male identity “recovery” semantics. In R. Keturakis poetry becomes important the cultural identity which is associated with the city as a centre of culture and values: historical and cultural processes and marks of the historical consciousness. The most significant set of Reflections is the lyrical subjects of national identity, stemming from his native Lithuanian village, its traditions and values. The poet, emphasizes his continuing strong relationship with home, nature and agrarian culture as quintessential point of his poetry
