Abstract (en)
The antioxidant activity of 35 honeys and 9 samples of beebread were determined by the ABTS۬˙+ radical cation decolorization and DPPH˙ radical scavenging activity. It was found that all honeys and beebread possessed radical scavenging capacity. Beebread and honey with plants extracts had higher antioxidant activity than honey. The following antioxidants, p-coumaric acid, apigenin, kaempferol, chrysin were identified in all honeys by HPLC/UV/MS.
