Abstract: The aim of work was to evaluate the adulteration of honey found in Lithuanian market. GC was used for the evaluation of carbohydrates of 16 samples. The compounds were identified using the sugar standard solutions. Samples of natural honey did not distinguished by the high amount of sucrose. In artificial honey the 8.9 % of sucrose was found, the amount of glucose was 1.5 times lower than in natural honey samples, it was found only 2.5 % of fructose, 34.1 % of maltose, while only 0.3-1.1 % was found in other honeys. It was found that natural honey of Lithuanian market was not falsified
