Straipsnyje aptariamas nuteistųjų dorinis ugdymas įkalinimo įstaigose. Tuo tikslu analizuojama šiandieninė įkalinimo įstaigų situacija. Siekiama atskleisti, kaip atsiliepiama į įkalinto asmens religinius, dvasinius ir moralinius poreikius. Detalizuojama praktinė veikla – dvasiniai susirinkimai, pamaldos. Išdėstoma įvairių organizacijų veikla įkalinimo įstaigose vykdant dorinį nuteistųjų ugdymą. Šiose įstaigose nuolat lankosi įvairios nevisuomeninės organizacijos, įvairių fondų atstovai, taip pat parapijų grupės ir tinkamai pasirengę pasauliečiai. Įkalinimo įstaigų administracija dvasininkams ir kitiems asmenims sudaro sąlygas tenkinti nuteistųjų religinius poreikius, teikti dvasinius patarnavimus.
In today’s global world the natural sciences and technology sciences develop and progress quickly however the humanities and morality sciences are in some senses remain the same. To be precise, they do not remain, they become the second-rate sciences. Therefore, it is necessary to educate and to develop human beings. Specifically it is important when we discuss the behaviour of inmates who used it not for creation but for destruction. However, does the possibility to educate and to develop the human being, in this case, the inmate, should be treated as a punishment or as a peculiar „reward“. In the incarceration institution is important to look at the perspective how would be treated training for inmates in the custody institutions, as means of punishment or perfection. This article rises the question, do the nowadays society need the education of inmates? If yes, what kind of education should be - as a punishment for the inmates (a new form of punishment, additional punishment and etc.) or means of inmates behaviour change. Does the content of education should have the compulsory measures (e.g. wind down orders „from above“ without taking into consideration the needs of the inmates, their specific features of the personality and other factors), or adaptably for inmates and well suitable for society (in a view of their needs, wishes, the trends of the society development and etc). The spiritual aspect of a conviction which do not touch directly the inmate‘s rights (e.g. imprisonment, limitation of their freedom and rights and etc.) but influences inmate‘s mind spiritually, psychologically and emotionally very strongly brings them much more pain. Consequently, the spiritual conviction of inmates can be compared with their condemnation and therefrom resultant their humanity and dignity trivialization (their self-defeating before the eyes of the society and other people) it trail along their life (or at least one part of their life) and regularly decline (or generally takes way) other people trust, respect and a will to help and to give a possibility to reach higher obligations of life and etc. Accordingly is there any possibility to reduce this spiritual conviction and can education of inmates be one of the possible additional means. This article aims to analyze the existence of specific features of inmates as an exclusive group. Rises the questions regarding their education form and its content. Review the today‘s situation of virtuous education in the custody institutions. Pointedly how to answer to the religious, spiritual and virtuous needs of the inmates. In details described the practical activities of the spiritual meetings and services. Presented activities of virtuous education of different organizations in the custody institutions.
