Straipsnis skirtas kunigo, istoriko, Dzūkijos ir Sūduvos kraštotyrininko Jono Reitelaičio 125-osioms gimimo metinėms pažymėti. J. Reitelaičio mažai žinoma kūrybinė architektūra nagrinėjama XX a. pirmosios pusės architektūrinių idėjų ir asmenybės interesų kontekste. Remiantis J. Reitelaičio gausiu archyviniu palikimu, primenami biografijos faktai, apžvelgiamos Krikštonių parapijos susikūrimo aplinkybės, sakralinio komplekso statybos organizavimas 1925−1940 m. Siekiant išaiškinti kunigo architektūrinius projektavimo pagrindus, aptariama jo asmeninė biblioteka. Plačiau nagrinėjamas reikšmingiausias kūrinys Kristaus Karaliaus bažnyčia − mažai tyrinėtas objektas. Straipsnyje gilinamasi į bažnyčios statybos istorinę raidą; analizuojama bažnyčios architektūra, atskleidžiant stiliaus bruožus bei savitumus. Pristatyti J. Reitelaičio atlikti bažnyčios brėžiniai, neįgyvendintų altorių eskizai, kurie lig šiol nėra publikuoti.
