Lietuvos botanikos soduose ir privačiose kolekcijose yra sukaupta daug vilkdalgio rūšių ir jų hibridų. Vytauto Didžiojo universiteto Kauno botanikos sode yra sukaupta keletas rūšių, apie 130 barzdotųjų hibridų, apie 40 sibirinių vilkdalgių hibridų, kurių kolekcijos kasmet papildomos. Vilkdalgio paplitimo arealas – nuo šiaurinių platumų, kur temperatūra nukrenta iki –40 °C, iki Arabijos pusiasalio dykumų.
Large number of Iris species and their hybrids are accumulated in botanical gardens of Lithuania and private collections. Kaunas Botanical Garden of Vytautas Magnus University gathered several types of bearded hybrids (~130), ~40 Siberian iris hybrids with replenishment collections annually. Iris range is from northern latitudes where the temperature drops to –40°C and the Arabian Peninsula desert, from the other hand.
