Topografinis prijungtos teritorijos kartografavimas atliktas 1795–1800 metais M 1:33300. Lietuvos teritorijai teko Berlyno braižykloje suformuotos 33 nuotraukos planšetai iš 122 sudarytųjų. Nuotrauka pavadinta „Naujosios Rytų Prūsijos provincijos kariniu žemėlapiu“.
The third and final partition of Lithuania and Poland fixed the occupation of Lithuanian country until the restoration of independence in 1918. Russia and Prussia, which exercised the partition, divided the territory of Lithuania along watercourse of the river Nemunas; thus, the biggest part of Lithuania was accrued to Russia and the territory on the left bank of Nemunas was accrued to Prussia. The occupants took up cartography of new territories. Germans were the first to chart the map of the new province of East Prussia to scale M 1:33 300. The topographic photo was finished in 1800. 1,223 original copies were drawn and imprinted in four colours. 39 pages included Lithuania. Kaunas city, occupied by Russia, located on the right bank of the river Nemunas, was mapped on the page No 10. This article deals with the review of the publications of the fragments of this page in the inter-war period, analyses the parameters of the photo and other data, and reviews the retrieval of the cartographic sources that were used for these publications. The author presents interpretation of the colour imprint of the fragment of this map executed by E.O.Kossmann comparing it with the present-day Kaunas and its environment.
