Vytauto Didžiojo karo muziejaus fenomenas politikos ir kultūros kontekste

Abstract

Darbe nagrinėjamas Vytauto Didžiojo karo muziejaus priklausomybės santykis nuo valstybėje vyraujančių politinių bei kultūrinių kontekstų. Fenomenali muziejaus istorija sąlygoja platų tyrimų lauką, kurių dalis buvo atlikta remiantis periodine spauda, archyviniais dokumentais, teisiniais aktais, istoriografija bei interviu metu surinkta medžiaga. Vytauto Didžiojo karo muziejus analizuojamas trimis skirtingais laikotarpiais (Pirmosios Lietuvos Respublikos laikotarpis, XX a. 5-9 dešimtmečiai, Antrosios Lietuvos Respublikos laikotarpis), pasirinktinai apžvelgiant aptariamojo laikmečio aktualijas ir jų įtaką šiandienai. Tyrimas orientuojamas į istorinius procesus, ideologines sankirtas, paveldosaugos situaciją ir kultūrinės atminties faktorių. Apibendrinus Vytauto Didžiojo karo muziejaus visuomeninę reikšmę skirtingais laikotarpiais ir įvertinus šiandienines muziejaus tendencijas buvo pasiūlytos alternatyvios veiklos gairės.

This master’s thesis analyses the bearing of dependence of Vytautas the Great War Museum on the political and cultural contexts prevalent in the country. The phenomenal history of museum determines a broad field of research, the part of which was carried out on the grounds of the periodical press, archival documents, legal instruments, historiography as well as the material collected during interviews. Vytautas the Great War museum is analysed in three different periods of time (the period of the First Republic of Lithuania, 5-9 decades of the XX c., the period of the Second Republic of Lithuania), providing an alternative review of urgent problems of the discussed period and their influence on today. The research is oriented towards historical processes, ideological differences, the situation of heritage protection and the element of cultural memory. After having generalised the public significance of Vytautas the Great War museum in different periods and having evaluated the current tendencies of the museum, references of an alternative activity have been proposed.
