Abstract: In our research we have shown the influence of social and psychological maturity to sport results. We have also proved that basketball team‘s success depends on psychological preparation of the sportsmen. Doing this research has shown that psychological team preparation depends on technical and tactical training and that good interpersonal relationship in the team is prerequisite for efficient basket shots and match success. After we have analyzed the reasons why the leaders come up in the team and their efficiency in every match, we presume that teammates which are less socially and psychologically matured trust the leaders because of good interpersonal relationship and those who have high social and psychological maturity value leaders abilities to unite the team and for their personal contribution towards team success. We have also examined the basket shots dependence on social an psychological maturity and made some recommendations to team trainers of improving basket shots for better results.
