dc.description.abstractŠiame darbe nagrinėjamas nenusistovėjęs netolyginis vandens tekėjimas Kauno HE žemutiniame bjefe, kurį sukelia staigus HE turbinų paleidimas ir stabdymas.
This thesis focuses on the unsteady and non-uniform water flow, which takes place in the downstream reach of Kaunas hydroelectric power station due to the sudden launch of the hydroelectric power plant turbines. Various scenarios of the turbine launching were created. Using the MIKE 21 program and the two-dimensional hydrodynamic model the unsteady flow in the downstream reach of Kaunas hydroelectric power station was analyzed by studying the speeds of the affluent waves and the water level rise in 12 control verticals. The wave spreading speed also was calculated pursuant to the formulas found in the literature of various authors. Comparison of the results showed that the speeds of the affluent waves determined in the MIKE 21 hydrodynamic model in the nearest downstream reach of Kaunas hydroelectric power station are significantly higher than the wave spreading speeds, which were calculated using the formulas found in the literature of various authors. However, these differences become lower at greater distances from the hydroelectric power station in the direction of the flow. The calculation methods found in the literature are not sufficient to verify the results of the hydrodynamic model; a results from field measurements are necessary to carry out such a verification.en
