Abstract: The study presents the use of possibilities of puppet therapy in the practice of Lithuanian puppet theatres. In this study the concept of puppet therapy, its origin in the history of theatre, the use of puppet therapy in projects of Lithuanian puppet theatres and experience of cooperation between puppeteers and medical specialists are discussed. The article also provides data on empirical research which reveal the knowledge Lithuanian puppet theatre practitioners of objective and motivated puppet therapy and its application in their practice.
