Straipsnyje analizuojama organizacijos sampratos kaita, apibūdinama modernios organizacijos paradigma, formuluojami svarbiausi modernios organizacijos bruožai. Pagrindinis dėmesys skiriamas atskirų modernios organizacijos charakteristikų išdėstymui ir jų praktinio realizavimo galimybių įvertinimui.
Most researchers are unanimous when stating that the only organizations able to successfully function and compete in the nearest future are those that will manage to solve two main economic tasks: optimize production costs and ensure high production quality. These two tasks are dialectically connected – they seem to contradict each other, but have to be solved as a complex. In the context of fierce competition and prevailing sophisticated processes of customers’ needs satisfaction, production has to be flexible, mobile and constantly changing. Therefore, based on theoretical research, the article has as its aims to analyze the conditions of modern organization functioning and to define the tendencies of their changes, to evaluate the influence of organizational change tendencies on their development and to formulate the main characteristics of a modern organization, as well as to define the essence and content of individual features of a modern organization.
