The survey of Lithuanian historiography shows that most researchers pay a great deal of attention only to one woman of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania - Barbora Radvilaité. Therefore the present article aims to introduce a biographical portrait of Ona Radvilaité, a distant relative of Barbora. The norms of feudal system, which accentuated men's active participation in civil life, facilitates the identification and distribution of male members of a family in the genealogical tree. Their activity is more often fixed in historical sources, the analysis of which allows to define the exact number of male members of a family, to elucidate kinship relations, to establish almost precisely (the difference being a year, sometimes only some months or days) their lifespan. A woman, on the other hand, is considered to be a wife (or a widow), whose destiny is to prolong a family or, through marriage, establish the relationship with another family. [...]
