Abstract
Straipsnyje remiantis Z. Angariečio atsiminimais, jo straipsniais, amžininkų atsiminimais tyrinėjama jo kaip politiko asmenybės formavimasis, pasaulėžiūros evoliucija, pateikiamas Z. Angariečio istorinės veiklos vertinimas. Atskleidžiama, kaip to meto socialinė nelygybė bei marksizmo idėjos paskatino Z. Angarietį tapti profesionaliu revoliucionieriumi, kaip 1915–1917 m.tremtis pastūmėjo jį tapti Rusijos bolševikų partijos nariu. Parodomas Z. Angariečio priešiškumas Lietuvos nepriklausomai valstybei, jo vaidmuo kuriant komunizmą Lietuvoje 1919 m., formuojant Lietuvos komunistų partijos narių bolševikinę ideologiją 1920–1937 m.
The article aims to present Zigmas Angarietis as a politician, concentrates on the factors which formed his personal views and the evolution of his world outlook as well as attempts to estimate his political activities from a historical point of view. This is done on the basis of Z. Angarietis’ memoirs and his articles as well as the memoirs of his contemporaries. The author of the article claims that social inequality of that period and Marxist ideas encouraged him to become a professional revolutionary; his exile in 1915–1917 made him become a member of the Russian Bolshevik party. The author also discloses Z. Angarietis’ hostility towards Lithuania as an independent state and concentrates on his role as a promoter of the communist ideas in Lithuania in 1919, as a propagator of the Bolshevik ideology, and as a founder of Lithuania’s communist party in 1920–1937.
